We Seam is an online sewing community that helps you discover and share sewing projects. It's for people who love to sew, both young and old. We Seam will launch in early spring 2017.

Our goal is to provide an online community that evokes the experience of sewing with friends in a large, open, and bright sewing studio. You wander, learn, listen, and sew. You meet and trade notes with others. It's an escape, a chance to de-stress, an opportunity to indulge your need to be creative. When you're there, it's nice to shop a little, but you don't necessarily translate it into spending money. It's more about artistic satisfaction and just being with your sewing peeps.

Our value proposition? To bring together sewists, projects, products, and brands in one grand sewing community. Give sewists a place to learn, share, and connect with each other. Allow brands to participate in the community in a creative and productive way, with people who are passionate about their products.

We Seam was founded by Angela and Bryan Bowman. Angela loves to sew. She saw a need for a community with a bright and fresh feel, focused solely on sewing, is free to use, and that's not directly-tied to a sewing brand. She wanted We Seam to be something she'd like to use. Bryan, on the other hand, loves to develop software. He saw an opportunity to use his programming skills to make his wife's vision come to life. He wanted We Seam to grow into a family business. That, and to make Angela happy, of course :)
